IWHR and the Water Resources Department of Hebei Province jointly hosted a meeting in Shijiazhuang, the capital city of North China’s Hebei province, to promote the technologies of rural drinking water disinfection of and water quality testing and to provide technical training.

Four experts delivered reports respectively on problems and countermeasures of rural water disinfection and water quality testing, common disinfection methods in rural water supply, selection and usage of technologies and equipment suitable for rural water disinfection and water quality testing. The equipment manufacturers at the meeting also gave an introduction and on-site demonstration. The meeting is of great importance to the executives in charge of rural drinking water safety to have a systematic understanding of the technologies and equipment, and to enhance their capability of selecting qualified products, controlling project designing and equipment purchase bidding in a strict way.
