OTS2000, a system of simulative training sets by Beijing IWHR Technology Co., Ltd., has been used by Hunan provincial subsidiary of State Grid Corporation for capacity building and performance appraisal of staff at hydropower stations. The OTS2000 simulative mathematical modelling is based on physical mechanisms, and draws upon data of design, experiment and operation of the objects to be simulated. It can render a 3D simulation of equipment inspection, operation, error, and accident of a hydropower plant. Using Fengtan hydropower plant as the prototype, the system also takes full consideration of the particulars of Dongjiang and Zhexi plants. It has been providing functions of teaching, training, practice, exam and appraisal since July, 2014.
