Integrated remote control system for giant generator units of cascade hydropower stations in lower reaches of Jinsha River

IWHR's BITC Corporation was entrusted by the Three Gorges Corporation to develop and build the automatic electric regulation system for the cascade control center in the downstream Jinsha River based on the integration of regulation and control, to realize remote centralized control and regulation for the two giant power stations of Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba at the control center in Chengdu City.

The lower reaches of Jinsha River, with richest hydropower resources in the Yangtze River basin, currently has a cascade of four large-scale hydropower projects under planning and construction, namely Wudongde, Baihetan, Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba from upstream to downstream.

By realizing integrated remote regulation and control for the largest number of giant generator units in the world, the project has achieved great economic and social benefits. The research results have proprietary intellectual property rights in trunk communication of hydropower remote control, real-time mass data transmission and processing, synergetic remote control of gate and power generation, intelligent alarm, etc., and have reached international leading level in related field.
