CHEN Zuyu (陈祖煜), Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, is an expert of civil engineer in water resources and hydropower and has been working on the theories and numerical analysis of slop stability for long years.

    - (1966) Graduating from Water Conservancy Department, Tsinghua University
    - (1979) Studying with Prof. Morgenstern in Alberta University, Canada as one of the first Chinese visiting scholars
    - (1981) Returning to China and starting working in IWHR
    - (2005) Elected Chinese Academician of Sciences
