CHEN Houqun (陈厚群), an Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, is an expert in earthquake engineering for water and hydropower projects. He has made significant contributions to theoretical research of anti-earthquake and reinforcement of concrete dams, as well as to solving key earthquake engineering problems of large projects.
