Application of national water resource stereoscopic monitoring system and remote sensing technologies
Time: 2017-10-25 | Hits:

IWHR is researching the “application of national water resource stereoscopic monitoring system and remote sensing technologies,” which is under the national key research and development program, to break through the corresponding key technologies to improve the comprehensiveness, accuracy, timeline, integrity and reliability of water resource information acquisition and support the fine management and scientific scheduling of water resources.

Water resource monitoring is the basic support of water resource management. China is one of the countries with the most prominent water resources problems in the world. Since 2012, China has clearly proposed the most stringent water resource management system and “Three Red Lines” for water resource management, requiring carrying out fine, dynamic and rigid management from three aspects of water volume, water quality and water-use efficiency so as to put forward higher requirements for water resource monitoring.
