Abstract: In this paper, the author discusses the main applications and typical configurations of the operator training simulation system for the hydropower station, then describes in detail the main function of the simulated operating and running mode management system for the Three Gorges Hydropower Station, and finally gives an introduction to the key technology of the system-self-developed Simulog language. Simulog is a process model description language used in the simulation for the hydropower station based on independent innovation by IWHR Technology, which can realize the computational description and analysis of the control sequence, as well as the mathematical model of the hydropower station equipments. By the simulated operating and running mode management system, the operators conduct the switching operation and check the correctness, which can ensure the correctness of the operation ticket, enhance the traceability of the operation mode management, and avoid faulty operation. The simulated operating and running mode management system serves as the operators ’ training platform so as to improve the quality of the operation, and meet the requirement of safety evaluation.
