The Foundation Treatment Laboratory has been well equipped with many advanced
instruments used for cement tests, chemical tests and modelling tests.
A set of new technology of consolidation grouting and protection against
seepage has been established. Some special groution materials have been
developed, such as: (1)Ultrafine cement, (2) SK-polyurethane, (3)Modified
epoxy and VE resins, (4)ACMS, (5) Silicates, (6)Sleeve-pipe method, and
(7) Fracture grouting. These research findings have played an important
role in many large hydroelectric power projects.
