The laboratory, covering an area of 600 m2, is equipped with
several measuring and testing facilities for irrigation pipelines and equipments,
research activities are focused on the following aspects:
(1)Analogy test for seepage flow in irrigation and drainage area.
(2)Material test for irrigation and drainage engineering including
mechanical properties of pipe and sheet made of various materials.
(3)Test on envelopes of subsurface drains including the filters and
envelopes tests on hydraulic and mechanical properties.
(4)Microcomputer control experimental research on small-sized hydraulic
structures, management of irrigatiion system, as well as relevant softwares
and hardwares.
(5)Hydraulic characteristics test for pipeline and devices for sprinkler
and drip irrigation, low-pressure water conveying system, and protecting
appliance of the sprinkler system. It is to be developed as a national
testing and measuring station for sprinkler irrigation.
1.Water -spraying test using micro-springkler made of plastic film
belt in laboratory.
2.Data acquisition and processing system supported by CJXG micro-computer
and tape recorder.
3. A universal compression test machine for testing the strength of
pipe materials.
