Lab. of Reservoir Sedimentation Research

It covers a total area of 3200m2, capable of supplying a water circulation of 1.8m3/s in discharge, with clear and siltladen flow systems. It is devoted to the studies of silting and scouring behaviour in reservoirs, especially in back-water fluctuating regions. Attentions are focused on problems caused by sediment such as flood protection, blockage of navigational routes, as well as the measures of realignment in back-water fluctuating zones.
