Lab. of Sedimentation Research on Hydraulic Structures
The laboratory covers an area of 2200m2, being able to provide a discharge of 0.8m3/s, with separate clear and sediment-laden flow system. It is mainly devoted to the studies on intake structures, including the behaviour of sediment movement and the optimum layout to prevent sediment from entering intakes.
