Triaxial earthquake simulating shaking table with 6 degrees of freedom.
The shaking table is fitted out with a digital control system, supported by a PDP 11/24 computer and a FPS-100 aray processor, is able to generate various kinds of determinate and random signals as well as to provide different simulated earthquake motion compatible with prescribed response spectra. Also, it has a programmable PCM data acquisition system up to 100 channels connected to the compute system and some versatile signal processing and plotting softwares. The laboratory is also orovided with a 1×1m electromagnetic shaking table to simulate arbitrary waveforms and a PS-600 multi-exciting and real-time data acquisition and processing system. In addition, there are TQJ-4 synchronous vibrators, a PSA-1 digital magnetictape acceleragraph system, a JTS-80 graphic-digital converter and so on in the laboratory. Using these equipemnt, prototype vibration testing of dams and other structures, recording of actual earthquake waves and processing of strong motion measurement data can be carried out. Softwares for dynamic analysis of various types of arch and gravity dams involving the interaction effects of reservoir and foundation are also available |
