With around 3 decades of research of Francis turbines and practice in hydropower construction, capacity expansion and rehabilitation, Beijing IWHR Technology Co. Ltd. has accumulated rich experience and reaped fruitful achievements, establishing self-developed hydraulic development system for JF Francis turbines, developing over 150 hydraulic models of 17 series that cover a full range of water heads from 20 m to 500 m. The research output has been applied in more than 180 hydropower stations both at home and abroad, obtaining significant social, economic and environmental benefits. An evaluation meeting was held recently to review all these achievements.
